Ed Lynch Tribute

Edward M. Lynch was born January 29, 1947 and passed on January 7, 2021.

Ed served in the US Army as a medic during the Vietnam War. Ed lived in Boardman, Ohio all his life. He was a quiet, humble man that loved helping people, especially the “underdog”. He exuded a peaceful nature, always wanting to know how everyone was doing, even people that had left our group. He loved nature, it’s wonder and beauty – he always made sure the birds had enough to eat. He was an avid enthusiast of homeopathic medicine and marveled at the wonders of the Health Food Store products. He was always eager to share stories and especially enjoyed listening to others’ stories. He never wanted accolades or honors. He loved sports, especially the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns.

Ed came to Veterans’ Outreach in 2006 for financial help. After that, he decided to join our team and help other veterans. Over the years, he dedicated a big part of his life to Veterans’ Outreach and the mission of serving and honoring all veterans. He even traveled to Florida and Kentucky to assist and train new team members when Veterans’ Outreach opened a new offices.

A beautiful sentiment from Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home:

God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered “Come with me”. With tear-filled eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best.

Through Ed’s work with Veterans’ Outreach, he was directly responsible for bringing financial assistance to thousands of veterans. He was a man to be honored, respected, and loved. He will be remembered and dearly missed.
