Homeless and Afraid Problem Solved for Veteran

This case is about a young veteran with service-related medical issues.  He moved back to the Youngstown area.  Shortly after, his mother had a stroke.  Things continued to get worse.  They had $0 income and lost their home.  They began to live in their car, the disabled veteran, his mother that is a stroke victim, and a service dog.
Then they lost the car and had nowhere to go.  A fellow veteran from the VFW came across the young man and set them up for one week at a local hotel.   He was referred to us for additional help.  We were able to set them up for a second week with a hotel, food, clothing, and a referral to get permanent housing through the HUD VASH program.
This is how we develop the best solutions, with our veteran friendly associates.
