Needs & Hope Met For Family of 3
This Case of the Week comes from our Hartselle, AL office written by Mike Johnson.
This week we had a veteran, his wife and her mother come to the office to seek help. They had been evicted from their home and were currently all three living in their car, and to make matters worse the mother was blind and also had a service dog with her.
Obviously their needs were great, but in an instance like this we realize that whatever we do is still not enough. We did come up with 50 dollars for gas for their car, and a check for groceries and supplies.
Our office manager Carol, called the VA in Huntsville and talked to Hud-Vash to help them acquire housing that they obviously needed. Working here, you realize that there are times that make you feel totally inadequate.
