Single Mom Veteran’s Water Shut Off

Today, we would like to share a “Case of the Week” from our Sarasota Florida office.

The Sarasota office was contacted by the VA to assist one of its cases.  Katherine, a veteran of course, is a single mom with a 2 year old daughter.  Due to the Pandemic, she has been unable to do her part-time job and her ex-husband has not provided the required child support.  Consequently, the local town water utility has cut off her water supply for non-payment.  The VA asked our office for help, I contacted the veteran to get the necessary documentation and guaranteed payment to the utility.  Payment  was made to the utility provider and the veteran told us that relieved her immensely.
