Today’s Case of the Week comes from our Grayson, KY office written by our RM, Andy McKee.
A couple weeks ago I received a call from a Veteran in the Lexington, KY area who was in an extremely unique situation and in desperate need of assistance. At the time, we weren’t able to assist with what she needed with her electric bill in the timeframe she needed, but I didn’t want that to be the end of things.
I needed to be in our Lawrenceburg, KY office soon anyways and to relay with our reps in the area, so I told the Veteran who was in need to give me a call the next day on my cell phone because I’d be in the area.
The following day I coordinated a food pickup for this Veteran through God’s Pantry in Lexington, KY. I drove to her house and we went to pick up the food she needed at the designated food pantry and brought it back to her house. We have remained in touch and our office has helped point her in the right direction to get her back on her feet through directed resources. I am very happy to say that her electric is back on, she has employment leads, and has enough food to last her week to week.
