“Homeless Veteran Gets New Lease on Life”

Today, we’d like to share a “Case of the Week” from our Sarasota, FL office as handled by our Regional Manager, Bob Graham.

A previously homeless veteran was given an opportunity by the VA to move into an apartment.  They would cover the rent.  However, it was mandatory that the veteran obtain and pay for renters insurance.  He had been homeless and jobless for months, was flat broke and could not pay the insurance.  The VA  caseworker suggested that he contact the Sarasota office of Veterans’ Outreach.  He did and we moved fast, with the necessary check within 2 working days, much to his relief.
