Anonymous Donor Helps Dozens of Veterans

Today, we want to share a very special “Case of the Week” from our Grayson KY office as told by Regional Manager, Ray Layne.

Anonymous Donor Helps Dozens of Veterans

Wednesday, March 11, 2020, seemed like any other day; nothing that really stood out; nothing exciting: and then a phone call changed everything about that day. A phone call from a veteran who I barely remember talking to in the past. The anonymous person (by choice) just asked a few questions. Is this Veterans’ Outreach? Do you have a food pantry and offer assistance for Veterans? Could you use a food donation? Will it go to Veterans in need? How many do you help in a week?

After a brief discussion of response….a date was set to meet and purchase food for the food pantry in our Grayson office.  It was only when we met and were going through the line that I came to realize the impact of the generosity – seven buggies of non-perishable food at a cost of $1,000.00!!

I stand amazed at how good and fast things can change around.  The difference one person can make to help so many.  The veterans that will receive very needed help; especially in light of the virus and its’ impact upon our economy now.

Thank GOD for immediate friends, who are willing to go and SHOW that miracles do happen. Take heart! Hang on! Keep doing the work! Our efforts are being rewarded!

WE DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

GROW NOT WEARY IN WELL DOING.

PASS ALONG THE GOOD NEWS.
