A Legacy of Love and Service
At Veterans’ Outreach, we often see generosity—but some acts of kindness carry a deeper story.
Recently, a Veteran’s widow arrived with a pickup truck filled with food to support our pantry. Every item was thoughtfully chosen, every box packed with care—an incredible act of giving to help fellow Veterans and their families in need.
This donation was made in loving memory and honor of her husband, Jerry Wix, a proud Veteran.
Through her generosity, his legacy continues—not just in memory, but in action.
The food now on our shelves will provide comfort and relief to those facing difficult times. It will help ensure that Veterans in our community have access to something many take for granted: a meal, a moment of stability, and the knowledge that someone cares.
This is what service looks like beyond the uniform.
It’s the quiet strength of a spouse who continues to give.
It’s honoring a life by lifting others up.
It’s love turned into action.
We are deeply grateful to Pat Wix for her compassion and generosity, and for allowing us to be a part of honoring Jerry’s memory in such a meaningful way.
Because of her, his service continues.
