Heartfelt Community Impact at Our Hartselle, Alabama Regional Office
Over the past two weeks, our Hartselle Regional Office has experienced an inspiring wave of generosity, community connection, and meaningful service to local veterans.
On Tuesday, November 25th, we received a thoughtful donation from long-time friend Wayne Smith, a proud member of the Etoche Tribe of Alabama. After a chance meeting with our staff at a local store, Wayne visited our office with his grandson Ender to deliver 40 bags of socks, each containing three pairs. With colder weather settling in, these socks will be distributed quickly to veterans in need, and we know they will be deeply appreciated.
Young Ender enjoyed touring the office and learning more about what we do. His visit was a wonderful reminder of the importance of instilling compassion and service in the next generation.
In addition to this generous donation, several veterans visited our Hartselle location last week to receive recently donated items. A few were first-time visitors, and we are grateful to see awareness of our services continuing to grow within the community. One new visitor also completed a survey and received a Wal-Mart gift card as a thank-you for providing helpful feedback.
Our team was also able to assist several veterans with restoring power to their homes, including making direct calls to the utility company on their behalf. These moments of support highlight the heart of our mission: stepping in when veterans need us most.
We extend our sincere thanks to every individual and family who supports Veterans’ Outreach in Alabama. Your generosity and involvement make a real, lasting impact on the lives of veterans in our region.
