Boots, a Phone, and a Fresh Start

A young Army veteran was facing family struggles that left him homeless. He was staying at the Rescue Mission when Veterans Affairs referred him to Veterans’ Outreach. We stepped in to help by purchasing a pair of work boots, which are vital for his trade as an electrician, and covering his phone bill so he could stay connected with employers. With these essentials, he now has the tools to move forward. He was very grateful for the support he received from Veterans’ Outreach.

This is the difference your support makes, helping veterans take their first steps toward a brighter future.

Summit County Veterans Stand Down

Veterans’ Outreach was honored to participate in Laura’s 20th Annual Summit County Veterans Stand Down and Veterans Appreciation Day at Guy’s Party Center in Akron, Ohio.

This incredible event brought together more than 70 organizations and agencies, all dedicated to serving and supporting our nation’s heroes. Veterans received access to vital resources, including dental and health screenings, legal aid, housing support, employment opportunities, clothing, food, hygiene items, and so much more.
Our Veterans’ Outreach team was proud to provide groceries, personal care products, and fellowship to those who came through. It was inspiring to witness the community come together in such a powerful way to ensure that veterans know they are seen, appreciated, and supported.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Laura and her team for organizing such a meaningful event, and to all the volunteers and organizations who made this possible. Most importantly, we thank the veterans who joined us, it was our privilege to serve you.
